24-year-old Sina Erdrich from Baden is the 73rd German Wine Queen. She prevailed over five competitors in the finals in Neustadt an der Weinstraße and will represent local wines and their producers at home and abroad for a year on behalf of the German Wine Institute (DWI). Saskia Teuke from the Palatinate and Linda Trarbach from the Ahr were chosen as German Wine Princesses.
"With the elected trio of majesties, three extraordinarily competent and sovereign female experts will represent domestic wines worldwide as new ambassadors," said DWI head Monika Reule.
