The internationally renowned sparkling wine producer Volker Raumland, with its plant in Flörsheim-Dalsheim (Rheinhessen), has been a member of the VDP for a few days now. This was announced by the association. The company, which has been certified organic since 2002, produces its premium sparkling wines exclusively from its own vineyards with ten hectares of vineyards in Rheinhessen and the Palatinate. 80 percent of these are planted with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The VDP has classified three of its areas as "Große Lagen". These are Bürgel and Kirchenstück in Hohen-Sülzen and the Frauenberg in Nieder-Flörsheim.
