The Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris trade fair increased its visitor numbers this year by around 35 per cent compared to 2022. Over three days, 35,000 trade visitors came to the exhibition centre at Porte de Versailles. This consolidates the wine fair's international position. The trade fair company emphasised that the increase in visitors was mainly due to foreign participants. The exhibition space increased by 20 per cent in 2023 and the number of exhibitors by 18 per cent.

A total of 3,387 companies showcased their products. Although the majority of exhibitors continue to come from France, two out of six halls are dedicated to wineries from abroad. Italian exhibitors made up the lion's share here, but institutions such as Österreich Wein Marketing (ÖWM), the German Wine Institute (DWI) and Wines of Portugal were also represented. The fair is also becoming increasingly interesting for wine-growing countries from overseas. This year, wineries from California were present for the first time.

"There is an international recognition of the growing reach of the fair. We are more than just a French event," said Rodolphe Lameyse, director of the organiser Vinexposium, after the great success of the fair.

Next year, the trade fair organisers want to expand Vinexpo and attract more international exhibitors.
