Veronafiere has presented its plans for 2021, with which Vinitaly is to contribute to the revival of Italian wine production despite the Corona restrictions. Thus, from 17 to 19 October 2021, a scaled-down fair is to take place exclusively for registered trade visitors, the organiser announced. According to this, Veronafiere wants to guarantee a hygienically safe participation. According to Veronafiere, the event in October 2021 aims to bring together institutions, associations, producers, companies and traders. It will be "the first business event in 2021 dedicated to the Italian wine sector".

The event will take place live at the Verona fairgrounds, which will be secured with a strict prevention protocol. The event is also intended to create synergies with the art galleries and collectors arriving at the same time as ArtVerona. Admission, however, is "reserved for wine sector players". There will be face-to-face and online tastings, workshops and the seminars of the "wine2wine Business Forum". At the conference, 50 top managers from the wine industry, institutions and representatives of the EU will discuss the current scenario of the industry and its future prospects.

In this context, Veronafiere is working with the ICE Foreign Trade Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to make the arrival of selected international buyers from destination countries such as the United States and China possible through very high individual health protection. To this end, digital networking solutions from the new online platform "Vinitaly Plus" will be available to visitors to expand the potential of the event.
