Domäne Müller Gutsverwaltung ***, which had to file for insolvency in February 2022, will now be auctioned off. The auction house Aurena will offer three auctions for this purpose. The complete equipment of the winery, the offices, the sales and tasting room, the non-bottled wines of the Domäne Müller winery as well as about 1,500 international wines and spirits of the trading house E. u. M. Müller will be auctioned. The winery managed 30 hectares of vineyards in western and southern Styria, the trading house was internationally active with premium wines such as Bordeaux. A total of 3,000 items went under the hammer. The bankruptcy was justified by insufficient margins as a result of the Corona pandemic.

Most recently, Hans Kilger, a tax consultant from Munich, also held shares in Domäne Müller Gutsverwaltungs GmbH. Several of his numerous investments went bankrupt in the past. As reported by Vinaria magazine, Kilger also wants to part with the southern Styrian restaurant Jaglhof, whose expansion was not completed. Last year, he sold the Loisium hotel in Ehrenhausen, which he had acquired three years ago for over 20 million euros, back to the former owners.
