The South Tyrolean "Prize for Wine Culture" is awarded to the Vinothek Bergwein in Munich. This is the first time a German wine shop has received the prestigious prize. This is awarded annually to businesses that have rendered outstanding services to wine from South Tyrol and are particularly convincing in terms of taste, selection and service. The Bergwein stocks over 400 wines, sparkling wines and distillates from around 40 producers from South Tyrol.

The founders of Vinothek Bergwein, Dr. Claudia Dietsch and Johann Dietsch, took part in the sommelier training of the South Tyrolean Sommelier Association AIS and are being recognised for their passion, dedication and enthusiasm for promoting South Tyrolean wine culture. The award will be presented by Andreas Kofler and Martin Foradori, President and Vice-President of the South Tyrol Wine Consortium.
