The harvest in the Italian DOC Prosecco currently puts producers in high spirits. The grape quality is "almost perfect", rejoiced Stefano Zanette, the president of the Consortium Prosecco DOC. The grapes are physiologically ripe with all the components that excellent Prosecco needs. It has been cooler in the 24,500 ha cultivation area for a few days now, and it has rained. In addition, it has cooled down considerably at night. This has created optimal conditions for the last phase before the harvest. The winegrowers therefore expected one of the best vintages ever with fine fruit and an excellent acid profile, said Zanette. The harvest in the Prosecco DOC is about to begin.
