The Italian Pinot Grigio DOC delle Venezie has so far come through the Corona crisis unscathed. This was announced by the Consorzio DOC. The number of bottles sold by the end of May had increased by 0.39 percent compared to 2019. The good result was due to the strong consolidation in recent months. Those responsible would monitor the export markets very closely in order to prevent speculation on the one hand and protect the supply chains on the other. Those responsible at the Consorzio are calling for a Northern Italian DOC alliance to be formed in order to achieve a balance in the management of channels and a fair distribution of value added.
