Winemaker Stefanie Weegmüller-Scherr hands over the historic Weegmüller family winery in Neustadt an der Haardt to Gregor Hofer and Claus Raschka. A private investor secures the financing through his participation. Until recently, the two were employed as managing directors and sales managers at Weingut von Buhl. Hofer and Raschka, who will jointly take care of the business, want to take over all employees.

The Weegmüller winery is one of the oldest in the Palatinate and was family-owned for eleven generations. It is particularly known for its Rieslings, but also for wines made from Scheurebe and Grauburgunder. The winery owns around 17 hectares of vineyards, some of which are first-class sites in the Mittelhaardt region.
