The French organic wine trade fair Millésime Bio from 5 to 27 January 2021 will now take place only digitally. This was announced by the organizer. "In the still uncertain health context, it is unthinkable to maintain Millésime Bio 2020 in a physical format in the first quarter of 2021," explains Jeanne Fabre, managing director of the organizer. A further postponement of the event is not possible, according to Fabre, as this would not be compatible with the schedules of the otherwise travelling buyers.
As an alternative, the trade fair will rely on digital presentations, communication via Messenger, video-conferences and online tastings. The digital platform that has now been set up for this purpose is due to be activated in December. This will allow, for example, video-conferencing appointments to be arranged with the wineries.
