Despite the drastic increase in the number of corona infections in France, the organisers of the Millésime Bio trade fair in Montpellier are holding to their date of 25 to 27 January 2021. It is considered one of the most important trade fairs for organic wine in Europe, with visitors from some 20 nations. The exhibitors are characterized by "overwhelming enthusiasm", the organizers announced. More than 15 percent of the stand bookings came from companies wishing to take part for the first time. The organizers expect more than 7,000 buyers to come to the fair. All requirements for protection against infections would be strictly adhered to.
The "Challenge Millésime Bio" competition is also scheduled to take place in 2021. At the moment about 1,900 wines have been registered, which will be judged by a jury. This would be the world's largest organic wine tasting event.
