The owner of the renowned Bordeaux Château Cos d'Estournel, Michel Reybier, has taken over the organic Château La Mascaronne with 60 hectares of vineyards in the south of France. The purchase price is not known. The 2016 certified winery produces rosé and red wine. Tom Bove, who has been running the estate for many years, had previously worked for the neighbouring Château Miraval before it was bought by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
Michel Rebier owns Cos d'Estournel, the champagne house Jeeper, the winery Hétszölö in Tokaj (Hungary) and the boutique hotel group La Reserve with hotels in Paris, Provence, Geneva and Zurich.
