The 10th International Symposium of the Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW), which starts at the end of June in Wiesbaden, is sold out. 500 wine experts from 40 countries, including over 100 Masters of Wine (MW), have confirmed their participation. They expect lectures from 30 speakers, including Hollywood actor and winery owner John Malkovich as well as Argentine winemaker Laura Catena.

IMW Managing Director Julian Gore-Booth says: "We are delighted about the great interest of the entire wine world in this year's symposium, which was sold out early on". In addition to the IMW, the host is the German Wine Institute (DWI), whose managing director Monika Reule explains: "The IMW Symposium is a unique opportunity to present Germany as a wine country to so many important multipliers from all over the world." Around the symposium in Wiesbaden's RheinMain Congress Center, numerous participants take the opportunity to visit various German wine regions.

The IMW Symposium takes place every ten years. The event planned for 2022 in Australia had to be postponed due to the pandemic.
