The wine shop and wine bar "Holstein's Weinlager" in Münster is the winner of the 2022 Specialist Trade Award, which is awarded by the German Wine Institute (DWI) in cooperation with the magazine Wein+Markt. Second prize was awarded to Concept Riesling from Düsseldorf, followed by the Vinothek am Michelsberg in Ulm.

Particularly important to the jury was the appealing and clear presentation of wines of different grape varieties from as many German growing regions as possible. In addition, the advisory competence of the staff was tested in undercover visits on site and attention was paid to the ambience as well as special service offers and wine events.

"The specialist wine trade is an important pillar for the sale of individual wines from the German growing regions. Thanks to the excellent advice and tasting opportunities, you can find good drops there for a spontaneous wine evening as well as selected wines for a special occasion," explained the German Wine Princess Luise Böhme at the award ceremony in Heilbronn.

The three winners will receive merchandise vouchers from the sponsors "Zwiesel Kristallglas" and "Howasped" as well as vouchers for staff training at the DWI worth a total of 6,000 euros. They will also be appointed to the jury for the election of the German Wine Queen 2023 in Neustadt an der Weinstraße.
