The "Wine Tour" event of the German Wine Institute (DWI) with 88 winegrowers, the TV celebrity Manuel Andrack as well as well-known sommeliers and experts takes place digitally this year due to the Corona pandemic. According to the DWI, there will be a large program on the net from November 6 to 15, 2020, including online wine tastings and virtual wine tours.
The online tastings of the "Wine Tour" are designed to provide interested people with wine knowledge and taste experiences. They are supplemented by interactive elements. According to DWI, the program is suitable for beginners and wine connoisseurs alike. The online tastings will be moderated by the Wine Highnesses Eva Lanzerath, Anna-Maria Löffler and Eva Müller as well as Master of Wine Konstantin Baum, by Peer Holm, President of the Sommelier Union Germany, and by Toni Askitis, who is one of the 50 best sommeliers. Most of the events will take place on the weekends, but all individual events will be available as recordings later on.
