Terroirs et Vignerons de Champagne

According to the Terroirs et Vignerons de Champagne (TEVC) cooperative, which includes the leading Nicolas Feuillatte brand in France, prices for champagne will increase by another ten percent this year. This is what Christophe Juarez, general director of TEVC, said at the group's annual general meeting. The reason for this is the strong increase of prices for electricity and glass bottles. Energy costs had doubled to three million euros within one year, while glass bottles had become 56 per cent more expensive.

Terroirs et Vignerons de Champagne was created at the end of 2021 from the merger of Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte (CV-CNF) with another cooperative group (CRVC) and supplies above all the food retail trade in France. The company is now one of the top 5 major Champagne houses alongside LVMH (Möet & Chandon, Ruinart, Veuve Clicquot), Vranken-Pommery, Laurent-Perrier and Lanson-BCC. The annual turnover is around 284 million euros. The cooperative's approximately 6,000 members cultivate 2,720 hectares. This corresponds to eight percent of the total area of the appellation.
