4,500 bottles from the wine cellar of the 2-star restaurant La Grande Maison in Bordeaux, owned by Château Pape Clément owner Bernard Magrez, will be auctioned off at the end of April. The restaurant was run by Joël Robuchon and his successor Pierre Gagnaire and closed in summer 2020. Robuchon is one of France's best-known chefs. His restaurants have together been awarded over 30 Michelin stars to date.

According to the auction house iDealWine, the wine collection was stored under best conditions and includes the most famous names from France as well as from Italy, Spain and Germany, from where wines by Egon Müller, Donnhöff and Joh. Jos. Prüm are up for auction. Cyrille Jomand, CEO of the auction house iDealwine, says: "Grands Crus Classés, prestigious Climats of Burgundy, old vintages from regions that are still an insider tip, renowned wineries and real rarities" are up for auction. The estimated value is around 650,000 euros.
