The consortium for Asti Spumante and Moscato d'Asti wants to go new ways in product positioning and focuses on mixed drinks and cocktails. Thus, the two aromatic wines are to be increasingly used in the bar scene and present themselves in a more modern and dynamic way. "We want to give our sparkling wine, which was born in the middle of the 19th century, a new face," says Giacomo Pondini, director of the consortium. Launched was the cocktail of summer 2021 called "Asti Signature", a creation by bartender Giorgio Facchinetti, consisting of Asti Spumante, pink grapefruit, basil and Sichuan pepper.
