Wine shipments in Austria increased by 64 percent in the Corona year 2020 at parcel service provider DPD Austria. In April 2020 alone, the increase was 230 per cent nationally and 174 per cent internationally, according to a company press release.According to DPD's own figures, the company transported a total of 320,000 parcels with Austrian wine in the previous year, of which 240,000 were within Austria and 65,000 to Germany. In general, the DPD managers expect the trend towards shipping wine to continue. The most popular shipping size was the 12-pack carton.
