According to the recently published figures of the OIV in Paris, world wine production has fallen to a historic low with the 2017 vintage. The annual production of only 250 million hectolitres is the lowest since 1957, when only 174 million hectolitres were produced. Compared to 2016, this is a decrease of 8.6 percent. In the USA, Australia, Argentina, South Africa and Chile, on the other hand, production volumes increased last year.
