VDP Nahe - Caro Maurer MW and Prince Michael zu Salm-Salm

The VDP Mosel-Saar-Ruwer auction last weekend achieved total net proceeds of 2,133,870 euros. The most expensive lots were the Prädikat wines with the Egon Müller winery at the top. A magnum bottle of 2015 Scharzhofberger Beerenauslese paid 16,000 euros, a double magnum of 2022 Scharzhofberger Kabinett 10,100 euros.

The auction of the VDP Nahe with Ahr, Rheinhessen and Pfalz fetched 1,952,025 euros without fees and taxes. A case of three magnums of "Von den großen Lagen" from the Klaus Peter Keller winery ***** in Rheinhessen fetched 13,000 euros, a case of six 0.75-litre bottles of "Von den großen Lagen" from the same winery fetched 5,565 euros.

At the event, hosted by Caro Maurer MW and auctioneer Prince Michael zu Salm-Salm (pictured), a case of "10 years after" auction wines from 2013 were sold for 6,000 euros for good causes. A dinner for six people with Klaus Peter Keller's family at Schlossgut Diel brought in 18,000 euros. The total of 24,000 euros will be donated to the sustainability project "Striking Roots" for the planting of a generational forest.
