Theresa Olkus will become the new managing director of the VDP on 1 January 2022. She succeeds Hilke Nagel, who will continue to support the VDP as co-executive director and devote herself to strategic activities in the background. Theresa Olkus will focus on the future orientation and especially on the public appearance of the VDP on the online/offline platforms. Her goal is to further sharpen the VDP.Adler as a top brand and to pursue the sustainability goals formulated by the members.
Theresa Olkus completed her master's degree in communication science and media research at the University of Hohenheim after training as a moderator. She began her career at the VDP as a communications manager before becoming deputy managing director.
"With Theresa Olkus, we are very lucky to have found a successor who has familiarised herself with the job in the shortest possible time, has set many new accents and is a perfect fit for us," comments VDP President Steffen Christmann on the new appointment.
