Exceptional wine selection and perfect service: When both come together, wine lovers are happy. This year, the wine magazine "Wine Spectator" awarded 97 restaurants for the best wine lists in the world. In Germany, Jörg Müller on Sylt was awarded the prize. The highest award a restaurant can achieve is the Grand Award. This year, two new restaurants were added to the list. The Gabriel Kreuther Restaurant in New York City and the Press Restaurant in Napa Valley can be pleased about their inclusion.

Jörg Müller's restaurant on the island of Sylt is also on the list of 97 Grand Award winners - the only one in Germany. In Italy, according to Wine Spectator, wine lovers get their money's worth at Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence, La Pergola in Rome by Heinz Beck, Ciau del Tornavento in Treiso (Piedmont), Cracco in Milan, Antica Bottega del Vino in Verona and Il Poeta Contadino in Alberobello. Also on the list are the Geranium in Copenhagen and the Swedish PM & Vänner in Växjö. In Austria, the Palais Coburg in Vienna and the Griggeler Stuba in Lech am Arlberg have already received the Grand Award, while in Spain the Atrio in Cáceres and the Restaurante Rekondo in San Sebastián adorn themselves with the title. The Louis XV Alain Ducasse in Monte Carlo and the Clos Maggiore in London have also received awards. According to Wine Spectator, concentrated excellence can be found in Paris: the restaurants Epicure, Le Taillement, Les Climats, Tour d'Argent and Vantre impress with their wine lists and service.
