The online portal winesearcher.com has published the list of the 50 most expensive wines of the past twelve months in its worldwide database of offers. First place is taken by the Romanée-Conti Grand Cru with an average price of all offered vintages and bottles of 19,378 dollars. Musigny Grand Cru from the Burgundy Domaine Leroy follows in second place with 17,224 dollars, and third place is taken by the Vosne-Romanée Cros Parantoux Premier Cru from Henri Jayer. The most expensive German wine is the Scharzhofberger Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese from Egon Müller (Mosel) with an average price of 13.987 Dollar.

Of the most expensive ten wines, eight come from Burgundy and one from Germany. The tenth is Graham's Ne Oublie Tawny Port with an average price of 7,874 dollars per bottle. In the extended list of the top 50 wines, only three come from Bordelais. They are Liber Pater, Petrus and Le Pin. They all average less than $5,000. Two wines in this list are from Napa Valley.
