With 6780 exhibitors from 64 countries and over 60,000 trade visitors, Prowein in Düsseldorf, the leading trade fair for the international wine and spirits industry, has come to an end. This is a record number of visitors and exhibitors for the trade fair company.
The major wine-growing countries such as Italy (1,700 exhibitors), France (1,550 exhibitors) and Germany (990 exhibitors) were represented as well as producers from overseas (700 exhibitors) - especially from the USA, South Africa, Argentina, Chile, Australia and New Zealand.
The offers in the organic sector also attracted a lot of attention. Trade visitors were able to meet all relevant organic associations from Germany, Italy and France as well as numerous exhibitors from all over the world - a total of around 300 producers. Further information was available at the special show "Organic World". The leading German organic associations Bioland, Demeter and Ecovin offered an additional source of information, including a suitable catering concept, in the form of the "Organic Lounge".
In addition, 400 exhibitors from 30 nations presented their spirits specialities such as brandies, gin, whiskey, cognac, single malt, grappa and cachaça.
