This year, the harvest in Alsace begins on 24 or 25 August. This has been announced by the Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins d'Alsace. The grapes are currently in a healthy, excellent condition. Already on April 10th the blossoming had begun in Bergheim, for example, due to the mild winter and spring. The winegrowers are expecting a very good vintage, as the dryness and heat in the vineyards throughout the summer have prevented problems with pests such as mildew or grape berry moth. However, the size of the grapes is also somewhat reduced. This, however, differed greatly from region to region. The vines were well supplied by the rainfall in spring.
