The winegrower Vittorio Adriano from the winery Adriano Marco e Vittorio in San Rocco Seno d'Elvio (Alba) died unexpectedly at the age of 56. Together with his brother Marco, Vittorio Adriano managed his parents' farm, which he had converted from a classic mixed farm to viticulture only at the beginning of the 1990s. Step by step, the vineyard area grew to its current 30 hectares and an annual production of 170,000 bottles. The winery is best known for its Barbaresco. For years, Vittorio Adriano represented the concerns of the Piedmontese wineries in the Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers FIVI. His wife Grazia and his daughters Michela and Sofia will continue his work at the winery.
