83 bottles of Grands Crus were stolen from the famous Michelin-starred restaurant La Tour d'Argent in Paris. Among them is a bottle from the Domaine de la Romanée Conti. According to the daily newspaper Le Parisien, the value of the wines is estimated at more than 1.5 million euros. The theft was discovered by the wine cellar manager at the beginning of January during the annual inventory. On 25 January, the restaurant manager reported the theft to Advertisement and the public prosecutor's office launched an investigation. The Paris criminal investigation department is now investigating. It would not be easy to sell such a haul, as the Grands Crus are numbered and are subject to particularly strict controls in France.

The wine cellar of the famous restaurant in the 5th arrondissement is the largest in Paris. It contains more than 300,000 bottles from 15,000 producers.
