The now official prices of the Bordeaux-Primeurs 2017 are in part significantly lower than expected by the experts. According to the figures of the Bordeaux Index Liv-Ex, they are up to 15 percent cheaper than initially calculated. For example, a bottle of Cheval Blanc currently costs 432 euros, while the experts had expected 503.99 euros. This is also the size of the price slide of La Mission Haut Brion. The bottle costs 240 Euro instead of 283.48 Euro as calculated before. Pontet Canet also costs considerably less at 80 euros - experts had expected 94.40 euros.

With other goods the reductions are only minimal: Château Talbot for example demands 37.20 euros instead of 37.49 euros as calculated. But even slight increases can be observed in the Liv-Ex figures: Château Pavie achieves up-to-date 276 euro, expected were only 261.04 euro.

The reductions are based on the quality forecasts of the Primeur tasters, who describe the vintage as the most disappointing since 2013.
