The wine and spirits group of the luxury group LVMH, Moët Hennessy, and the Campari group have founded a joint venture that wants to invest in e-commerce providers for wines and spirits. The aim of the joint venture is to build up a "pan-European e-commerce player", a press release says.
Campari will contribute its share in the Italian online provider tannico.com, which focuses on the sale of wines and premium spirits. Tannico also has a majority stake in ventealapropriete.com, a wide-reach e-commerce platform in France that also offers premium wines and spirits.
The new company will be led by a management team headed by Marco Magnocavallo, the current CEO of Tannico.
