Argentina's bottled wine exports reached a new record of 817 million US dollars (722 million euros) in 2021. This was announced by the Argentine Foreign Ministry. The previous high dates back to 2012 and was 786 million US dollars (695 million euros) "Argentina has achieved significant improvements in the export of bottled wine, which increased by 9.2 per cent in volume as well as 15.8 per cent in value," the ministry explained. The volume of sparkling wines exported even grew by 44 per cent. The most important export countries were the USA, Great Britain, Brazil, Canada and the Netherlands. The most exported grape varieties were Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
