The French cooperative winery Jalliance is launching semi-sparkling wine with 8% by volume in 20-litre pressurised barrels. The aim is to offer an alternative to beer at events such as fairs, festivals and concerts, as well as in the catering trade. The "Bulles de Break" is similar to a Clairette de Die. The grapes, Muscat and Clairette, are supplied by the members of the Drôme co-operative and bottled without dosage. As the carbon dioxide pressure in the barrels is lower than with Clairette de Die, the fruity-sweet "Bulles de Break" is a semi-sparkling wine.

Géraldine Derycke, Communications and Marketing Officer at Jaillance, explains: "The speciality of 'Bulles de Break' lies more in the way it is consumed than in its taste." In the summer of 2023, the product was tested in several bars and restaurants, where it was served from the tap. According to Derycke, many consumers liked the smooth, fruity flavour. Jaillance recommends a price of 2.50 euros for a 150 ml glass at festivals.
