What wine awards are there?

Certain wine guides, magazines and competitions are important for individual countries, whereby it is not primarily about the wines from these countries, but about the respective market. Different awards are presented: Medals ranging from bronze, silver and gold to grand gold and platinum, as well as titles such as "Collection of the Year", "Winery of the Year", "Winemaker of the Year", "Rising Star of the Year", "Discovery of the Year" or "Newcomer of the Year".
