The winegrower king
A world collapses

After many years abroad and a failed marriage, Thomas Stickler (Harald Krassnitzer), the son of a Rust winegrower, returns to his Austrian homeland and takes over the family business after his father's death. Not to the liking of everyone involved, because Thomas has been away too long to now be accepted as belonging again. He finds his greatest adversary in the great vintner and mayor Georg Plattner (Stefan Fleming), who is married to Thomas' sister Andrea (Katharina Stemberger). For the latter had reckoned with the inheritance himself. But Thomas is determined to start a new life as a vintner. By his side he has not only his adolescent daughter Anna (Britta Hammelstein), who decides to live with her father, but also his mother Hermine (Christine Ostermayer), the cellar master Claudia (Susanne Michel) and grand vintner Gottfried Schnell (Wolfgang Hübsch), an old family friend.
