From fine everyday wines to luxury class: Marcus Hofschuster and Kim Schreiber present the best white and rosé wines at the halfway point of the current tasting season. Real discoveries await you!

The first half of the current tasting season is over. As always, we have an extremely busy autumn ahead of us. Traditionally, we don't expect to see the top wines, especially from Germany and Austria, until September, because many of them cannot be sold before then and some of them cannot be reviewed.

Nevertheless, we were by no means bored during the first few months of this tasting year. Not only did we have plenty to do, but we also regularly had wines on the table that impressed us, from everyday wines to the luxury class. So it's time to take stock and present the best wines of this tasting season so far. We're doing this in two instalments: this week it's the turn of the whites and rosés, followed in a fortnight' time by the reds and sparkling wines.
