ProWein

The future does not happen by itself. It will be shaped. ProWein 2026 is taking on precisely this challenge: Taking responsibility, opening up new perspectives and actively developing the international wine and spirits trade.

Under the motto "Shape. Create. Elevate." ProWein is positioning itself more than ever as the leading international platform for relevance, innovation, and sustainable business success. It is not just a trade fair, but a global network for decision-makers, visionaries, and movers and shakers in the industry—365 days a year.

"We want to encourage the industry to approach the future with determination, creativity and foresight. ProWein creates space for innovation and enables sustainable business," says Frank Schindler, Director of ProWein Düsseldorf.

"Cultivate the visionary in you" is the motto of this year's ProWein

New hall concept: clearly structured, efficient, and visible

One of the key innovations in 2026 is the new hall concept. Around 4,000 exhibitors from over 60 countries will present themselves in the future compactly in Halls 1 to 7a.

Larger halls, clear country structures and improved visibility of the stands create measurable benefits for visitors:

  • around 30 % shorter walking distances
  • faster orientation
  • more efficient scheduling
  • more time for discussions, tastings, and decisions

International presence at the highest level

ProWein 2026 brings together the most important countries of origin clearly and visibly:

The new layout is consistently geared towards focus, productivity and business success.

ProWein
  • France will move into Hall 4, which is fully booked, including the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux with the presentation of the new vintage.
  • Germany and Austria are represented together in Hall 1—from organic and biodynamic wineries to co-operatives and VDP and ÖTW wineries.
  • Italy occupies the fully booked Hall 3 with all the relevant regions from Piedmont to Prosecco DOC.
  • Portugal will be exhibiting in Hall 7a, Spain in Hall 6, supplemented for the first time by Toro.
  • Central and Eastern Europe continue to gain in profile—with strong country pavilions from Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Moldova, and Turkey, among others, as well as new presentations from Montenegro and Azerbaijan.
  • In the light-flooded Hall 6, close to the VIP area, numerous New World destinations such as Argentina, Chile, New Zealand and South Africa will be presented—complemented by California, Brazil, Japan, and other regions.

ProSpirits: Spirits on course for growth

The spirits sector is developing dynamically—and will continue to grow in 2026. ProSpirits will occupy two entire halls for the first time in 2026 with around 500 exhibitors from over 50 countries. ProWein is thus sending a clear signal for the growing importance of spirits in the international trade and offers an independent stage for innovations, brands, and new concepts.

Experience trends: curated formats and immersive experiences

ProWein 2026 makes current market developments tangible with new experience formats. In the ProWein Agora, well-founded market analyses meet clear positions: Keynotes, talks and discussions provide orientation on innovation, consumer behaviour, and future business models. With ProWein Zero, no- and low-alcohol products are given a clearly profiled platform where alcohol-free wines, spirits and new drink concepts are discussed and tasted not as a marginal phenomenon, but as a growing market segment. International best practices, tastings and in-depth insights show where the segment stands—and where it is heading. ProWein Sparkling Visions puts the spotlight on the growing segment of sparkling wines. From Champagne to Prosecco, Cava and international specialities, the result is a curated overview that combines origin, style, and market potential. The Sparkling Bar in Hall 4 will be the central meeting point for exchange, tasting, and discussion.

ProWein Organic Visions in Hall 1 brings together international organic, biodynamic, and sustainably produced wines in one place. Supplemented by tasting zones and knowledge transfer formats, an environment is created that does not explain sustainability, but makes it visible as a relevant factor for quality, positioning, and trade.

Targeted visitor management for measurable success

To bring exhibitors and trade visitors together even more precisely, ProWein 2026 is investing specifically in new services and digital tools.

An expanded Hosted Buyers & Concierge Programme will bring decision-makers from key markets such as Germany, Benelux, USA, Great Britain, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Scandinavia to Düsseldorf. An optimised product database and the revised matchmaking tool Fair Match ensure a precise connection between supply and demand—and sustainably increase the quality of business contacts.
