ProWein

ProWein will once again be the summit of the international wine and spirits industry in 2025. Under the motto "Discover the Taste of Tomorrow", around 5,000 exhibitors from over 60 nations will present themselves from 16 to 18 March 2025.

No other trade fair in the world offers such a comprehensive international programme with the most important trends in the industry. The extensive supporting programme and highlight zones such as ProWein Zero, the new ProWein Business Forum, the Champagne Lounge, Organic World, Packaging & Design, urban gastronomy and the Concept Store also make the leading trade fair an indispensable and exclusive platform for knowledge transfer, industry exchange and inspiration.

New ProWein Business Forum offers orientation in challenging times

ProWein 2025 will feature a dedicated forum for industry-relevant business topics for the first time. The Business Forum in Hall 16 will focus on a specific topic on each day of the trade fair. On Sunday, everything will revolve around the wine consumer of the future. Experts will shed light on new target groups worldwide and their interests, talk about the development of individual price segments and discuss the topic of wine and spirits in the context of changing health awareness. Monday will focus on modern wine marketing under the motto "I am a Buyer and I'm Here to Learn...". On Tuesday, the topic of sustainability will take centre stage. Among other things, the focus will be on alternative grape varieties and the effects of climate change on individual wine regions. The Business Forum will be organised and moderated by American wine expert Cathy Huyghe.

The perfect match: food and wine at ProWein

The urban gastronomy lounge will be presented for the first time with the support of METRO. The new concept was developed together with the international food wholesaler based in Düsseldorf. Dr Steffen Greubel, CEO METRO AG, and Martin Behle, Chief Horeca Officer, were able to win over the well-known gastronomy greats Björn Freitag, Alina Meissner-Bebrout and Bobby Bräuer for the collaboration. The three top restaurateurs will all be creating exciting dishes live on site at ProWein for the first time on different days. Toni Askitis, who was named best sommelier of the year 2024 by Rolling Pin, will provide the matching wine. Registration for the individual workshops is not required.

Food & wine pairing in all areas of ProWein

There will also be plenty of inspiration on the topic of food & wine pairing in the other supporting programme at ProWein, for example in the seminar programme of Wines of Portugal, ICEX/Wine from Spain, Pfalzwein and ICE/Vini d'Italia. As a special highlight, another top-class Food & Wine Pairing will take place on ProWein Sunday at 11.30 am: Curly, known from the podcast Terroir & Adiletten, will go on a culinary voyage of discovery at ProWein! At Pavillon France, stand 10F120 (Le Forum #BonjourProWein) he will choose the perfect wine and food match.

The varied supporting programme with masterclasses, business forum, tastings and much more can also be accessed online.

ProWein feeling for non-professionals too

From 13 to 18 March, there will be wine and spirits tastings, special menus in numerous restaurants and cultural events throughout the city. A total of around 130 events are planned.
