The Kremstal is home to a whole series of first-class wineries whose names are often better known than the region itself. One never gets bored here, if only because there is a remarkable diversity of styles due to the astonishingly heterogeneous geological and microclimatic conditions, not least for such a rather small wine region.

The Kremstal DAC, introduced in 2007, only applies to Riesling and Grüner Veltliner, with Veltliner taking up more than five times the vineyard area of Riesling. Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Muscat, Neuburger and Sauvignon also play a certain role. In the hands of the relevant specialists, Roter Veltliner, Gemischter Satz and occasionally even red wines can also deliver excellent results.

Since all wines that do not fall under the DAC are now only marketed under the designation of origin "Niederösterreich", it is unfortunately technically impossible for us to post a link here to all the freshly tasted Krems Valley wines. You will find all wines that do not appear in the list of best wines and in our PDF can be found at the respective wineries.
