The manufacturer Zwiesel Fortessa has developed two complementary glasses with the French top sommelier Antoine Pétrus. Originally, only a universal glass was to be created. After tests and tastings, the collection 'Perfect Match by Antoine Pétrus' now includes two coordinated glasses, which, according to the manufacturer, should clearly express all wine styles.
Glass 'Number 1' is suitable for red and white wines and is said to impress with density, balance, and precise representation of aromas, according to Zwiesel Fortessa. Glass 'Number 2' was specifically designed for rosé and sparkling wines, which could particularly highlight their freshness.
Both glasses are made in Germany from Tritan crystal glass and are said to be particularly brilliant as well as break and dishwasher safe, according to the manufacturer. Due to their stability and affordable prices, they are intended to be attractive not only for private wine enthusiasts but also for restaurants. Glass 'Number 1' costs restaurateurs 5.50 euros net, while 'Number 2' costs 5.05 euros. Private customers can purchase each glass in a two-pack for 22 euros. The series will be available from March 2026.
The award-winning sommelier Antoine Pétrus from France is known for his tasting expertise and regularly collaborates with top restaurants and renowned wineries. He places special emphasis on the harmony between glass shape and wine aromas to optimize the tasting experience.
