The Wine and Sommelier School Koblenz and the Sommelier Magazine are looking for the Young Sommelier 2025. The competition will take place on January 14, 2025, in Neustadt an der Weinstraße. All those who have recently completed their training as a sommelier at one of the partner schools (Wine and Sommelier School Koblenz with its branches, the Hotel Management School Heidelberg, IWI Bad Neuenahr, the IHK Academy Munich and Upper Bavaria, the IHK Würzburg, the Vinophilium Wine Academy Stuttgart, and the WIFI Tirol/Austria) or are currently still in training are eligible to participate. The maximum age is 35 years.
In a theoretical part, the wine knowledge will be tested, and in the practical part, the participants must convince with their appearance to the guest and their practical handling of wine. The Sommelier Union Germany supports competitions because the participants get to know themselves and their skills very well. Furthermore, confident appearance and assertiveness are promoted. All of this also helps in everyday work. The registration for the Young Sommelier 2025 is open until January 3, 2025.
