To mark the centenary of the Bauhaus, the Freyburg (Saale-Unstrut) winegrowers' association presented two wines from the "Werkstück Weimar" line with labels whose design is derived from the world-famous design school. The dry Sauvignon Blanc 2018 for 8.40 euros and the semi-dry Dornfelder Rosé 2018 for 7.29 euros are designed with a blue circle, red square and yellow triangle as well as clear geometric figures.
The vines for the two wines grow on the Weimarer Poetenweg, a site just outside Weimar and not far from the place where the Bauhaus masters worked.
