For the seventh time, the wine trade fair "Véritable" will take place in St. Martin in der Pfalz. On Monday, July 3, 2017, 94 winegrowers from over 40 wine growing regions will present six of their best wines each at the Aloisiushof wine and sparkling wine estate. The event is aimed exclusively at wine experts from trade, gastronomy and media.
The number of more than 90 exhibitors is a new record for the "Véritable". The wineries come from Germany, France, Italy, Austria and Spain as well as Switzerland, Portugal, Bulgaria, Argentina and Australia. "There are many trends in viticulture - and there are the masters of craftsmanship who either define trends themselves or, completely detached from them, form the top of the pyramid of mastery. These masters will gather again this year in the tranquil St. Martin," says a delighted Uwe Warnecke, who initiated the premium trade fair together with Aloisiushof junior boss Philipp Kiefer and organises it every year. Around 60 cooperation partners and sponsors support the event.
The trade fair is open from 12 to 18 hrs. Tickets are only available in advance against accreditation. At 5 p.m., a convivial conclusion with food from OTTO Gourmet begins. Admission is 35 euros per person including glass deposit, finger food, drinks and Illycaffè, and an additional 10 euros for dinner.
This year's "guest star" is the South Tyrolean winemaker Alois Lageder. He will give a lecture on Sunday, 4 July - the day before the fair - at 2.30 pm in the Saalbau in Neustadt/Weinstraße on the subject of "South Tyrol's future - an exciting challenge for us winegrowers". Admission to the lecture event is free. Alois Lageder is one of the pioneers of quality and biodynamics in South Tyrol. Together with his son, he runs the family vineyard in Margreid, which was founded in 1823. The art collector is president of the Ökoinstitut Bozen and president of Demeter Italia.
