Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd presented a white wine and a red wine cuvée for 5.99 euros with the name of TV presenter Günther Jauch. However, the wines do not come from his vineyard in Othegraven on the Saar, but are produced by the large-scale bottler Peter Mertes in Bernkastel-Kues. However, the Othegraven winemaker Andreas Barth is responsible for the selection of the wines, which are to consist mainly of Riesling and Pinot Noir.

Where the base wines for the cuvées come from, Aldi has not disclosed. They come from "various German growing regions". Both wines are simply declared as "German wine".

Aldi Süd has also added a Riesling from the well-known VDP vineyard Leitz from the Rheingau region to its range as a "premium everyday wine". It costs 6.99 euros and carries the VDP eagle on its label. The wine is distributed by the major distributor Eggers & Franke in Bremen, which recently became part of the Rotkäppchen-Mumm sparkling wine group.
