The wine and spirits division of luxury group LVMH has achieved a "significant increase" in its turnover in the third quarter of 2020, according to the group. According to the figures, the decline compared to the same quarter of the previous year was only three percent. However, the group's overall turnover shrank by seven per cent. According to the figures, the wine and spirits division's turnover of 3.35 billion euros in the nine months of 2020 was 15 per cent lower than in the same period of 2019. The Hennessy Cognac company even managed to achieve growth, while the Champagne division in particular recorded significant declines: the number of bottles sold fell by 23 per cent in the course of the entire year so far.
