At the VDP Weinbörse in Mainz, wein.plus awarded six members of the Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter (VDP) with the "Collection of the Year". The award winners received their certificates from Marcus Hofschuster and Kim Schreiber, the tasting team.

The Collection of the Year at the Ahr went to the winery J.J. Adeneuer ****. At the Mittelrhein, the tasters awarded the winery Toni Jost – Hahnenhof ***. This year's award winner at the Nahe is the Schloßgut Diel *****.

In the Pfalz, the award went to the winery Reichsrat von Buhl ****. The Collection of the Year in Rheinhessen was awarded to the winery Wagner-Stempel ****. In Württemberg, the tasters awarded the winery Aldinger ****.

"We award the Collections of the Year to wineries that stood out positively during the past tasting season and convinced us with particularly distinctive wines and assortments," explains tasting director Marcus Hofschuster. In the 2025/2026 season, the team from wein.plus blind-tasted and evaluated over 6,600 wines to determine the winners.

In total, 18 wineries in Germany, Austria, Italy, and France received the award for the Collection of the Year this season. More than half of the German award winners are members of the VDP.
