Those responsible for VieVinum 2022 in Vienna have drawn a positive conclusion after the end. The showcase of the Austrian wine industry took place from Saturday to Monday at the Vienna Hofburg. The focus on professionals was generally praised by exhibitors and visitors. According to unanimous statements, there was more space and time for individual discussions. In addition, there was never any idle time at the stands. The new record number of more than 1,000 international traders, restaurateurs, sommeliers and journalists who came to Vienna at the invitation of Österreich Wein Marketing (ÖWM) also contributed to this.
The visitors particularly appreciated the fringe events on various topics, the special tastings and the good organisation. The imperial surroundings in the former imperial residence also created a good atmosphere among the participants, as was revealed in many personal conversations.
During the VieVinum, the long-standing Managing Director of ÖWM, Willi Klinger, was awarded the Golden Decoration of Honour of the Republic of Austria by Federal President Alexander van der Bellen for his services.
