The Weinbörse of the Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter (VDP) recorded over 3,000 visitors from 29 countries. Among them were guests from the most important export markets USA, Great Britain, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Japan, and China. At the fair aimed at trade visitors, 186 VDP wineries presented their current wines from the 2025 vintage. The VDP also celebrated the anniversary of the 100th anniversary of its trademark, the grape eagle. President Steffen Christmann emphasized in his opening speech that "origin is not a state, but a mandate." Nothing is more ephemeral than a global reputation. This must be continually re-established – through consistency in the vineyard, precision in the cellar, and a united front.
wein.plus also awarded at the wine exchange six VDP members for the Collection of the Year at the Weinbörse.

For the first time, the VinVin trade fair for origin wines from Maxime Herkunft Rheinhessen and Weinland Nahe, the Biodynamic Wine Fair, and the sparkling wine fair of the Traditional Sparkling Wine Makers also took place in Mainz on the same weekend. The temporal conjunction of the events under the umbrella brand wine Mainz is considered a success by the initiators.
