For the 200th anniversary of the Burgundy winery Domaine Faiveley****, Christie’s is auctioning unique bottlings, rare Grand Cru verticals, and exclusive visits to the winery. Siblings Erwan and Eve Faiveley, who run the winery founded in 1825 in the seventh generation, have specially curated wines dating back to the vintage of 1908. Among them are absolute rarities like magnums of Musigny, bottled only for this occasion. Additionally, large formats of Grand Cru wines from the current vintage 2025 will be offered. There will also be only a few large bottles of these en primeur wines.
Some highlights of the auction:
A Nebuchadnezzar (15 liters) Clos des Cortons Grand Cru 2025 (only two bottles bottled), estimate 9,700 – 12,500 euros
A Nebuchadnezzar (15 liters) Côte de Beaune Grand Cru 2025 (only two bottles bottled), estimate 11,400 – 17,000 euros
A bottle of Musigny Grand Cru 1908, estimate 8,500 – 10,800 euros
A bottle of Clos de Cortons Grand Cru 1923, estimate 1,700 – 2,300 euros
Twelve verticals of Bâtard-Montrachet 2010 to 2016, estimate each 1,100 – 1,700 euros
In addition, seven visits to the winery with gala dinners, exclusive tastings, and overnight stays will be auctioned with estimated prices between 1,000 and 9,700 euros.
Domaine Faiveley is considered one of the most significant wineries in Burgundy. Its vineyard area covers around 120 hectares, including twelve Grand Crus and 22 Premier Crus. The auction is online at Christie’s until November 19.
