The trade fair Eurovino in Karlsruhe concluded yesterday, according to the fair management, with 500 exhibitors and 5,000 visitors from retail, gastronomy, and hospitality. The increasing number of participants from Germany and neighboring countries in the third year of the fair shows, according to the organizers, that the fair has now established a firm place in the German wine industry. Praise for the organization came from many sides: Smaller fairs like Eurovino offer space for personal contacts and targeted advice, it was said in comments.
The tasting zone "Wine Experience" was well attended, where interested parties tasted their wines using digitally controlled wine dispensing machines. Among them were also rarities that are hardly available in regular trade. Visitors could find these and over 4,000 registered products through the digital "Eurovino Wine Guide." It serves as a research tool that facilitates the planning and follow-up of the fair for visitors.
On the second day of the fair, the wein.plus tasters Kim Schreiber and Marcus Hofschuster presented the awards for the Golden Grape Awards (image). They evaluated 4,444 wines from 994 producers from Germany, Austria, and South Tyrol last year.
The Eurovino 2027 will take place on February 28 and March 1.
