The prices for Grand Cru vineyards and high-quality cultivated areas in France continue to rise significantly. This was announced in a press release by the Franco-German agency for agricultural land sales Safer (Sociétés d'aménagement foncier et d'établissement rural). According to the figures, prices in Burgundy rose by an average of four percent in 2018 and have doubled since 2011. Last year, for example, a Grand Cru vineyard in Burgundy cost an average of 6.25 million euros per hectare, with a peak price of 14.5 million Premier Cru sites achieving an average of 680,000 euros, with a peak price of 2.25 million euros.
